Contrel expands its range of electrical monitoring solutions with EMS-D3, the new compact multifunction digital multimeter for DIN rail installation.
Designed for accurate monitoring of three-phase electrical systems, EMS-D3 provides a comprehensive overview of the main electrical parameters through a single device.
Available measurements include:
- phase-to-phase and phase-to-neutral voltages;
- phase and neutral currents;
- active, reactive and apparent power;
- power factor and cosφ;
- frequency;
- active and reactive energy;
- total harmonic distortion of voltage and current, THD-V and THD-I.
EMS-D3 also provides instantaneous, maximum, average and maximum demand values, giving users a detailed overview of system performance and supporting energy monitoring and analysis activities.
The device features a compact 3-DIN-module design and a backlit graphical LCD display, developed to provide clear visualization and fast, intuitive navigation through the different measurement pages.
Voltage and current measurements are based on TRMS technology, and the device supports current transformers with 1 A or 5 A secondary ratings, as well as miniature TT/TTA sensors on applicable versions.
EMS-D3 also includes:
- four-quadrant energy metering;
- more than 50 derived measurements;
- continuous sampling;
- high measurement accuracy;
- 2 digital outputs configurable for alarms or pulse outputs;
- Modbus communication for integration into monitoring and supervision systems.
The digital outputs can be associated with configurable alarm thresholds or used as pulse outputs for energy metering, increasing the flexibility of the device in energy monitoring and management applications.
