At Contrel elettronica, sustainability starts with engineering. We design measuring, protection and monitoring devices that help companies and infrastructures understand their consumption, identify inefficiencies and use energy more consciously.
The same principle guides our own operations: we invest in renewable energy, efficiency, process quality, product durability and supply-chain control through a progressive and measurable approach.
Since 2010 we have invested in solar generation at our Lodi headquarters. Today, three photovoltaic systems cover a significant share of our electricity demand, with a fourth system planned by the end of the year.
An investment journey started in 2010 and developed over time to reduce the energy impact of our operations and increase on-site renewable generation.

For Contrel, sustainability is not a separate activity: it shapes the way we design, manufacture, manage resources and build long-term relationships with customers, employees and suppliers.
We reduce environmental impact through on-site solar generation, attention to energy consumption, waste reduction and control of regulated substances. Our products also support energy monitoring and optimisation at customer facilities.
We promote a working environment focused on safety, technical competence and continuity of know-how, supported by processes designed for quality and long-term reliability.
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. We apply checks, testing and verification throughout development and production to deliver reliable, long-lasting solutions.
EcoVadis and Synesgy provide two independent views of our sustainability journey, helping us identify strengths and areas for improvement.
In November 2025, Contrel elettronica received an overall EcoVadis score of 48/100, rated “Good”, together with the Committed badge.
In May 2026, Contrel elettronica achieved a “B – Good” ESG score through the Synesgy platform, valid until June 2027.
We make available declarations and documentation covering regulated substances, materials, conflict minerals and packaging, clearly distinguishing Contrel documents from supplier-issued documentation.

For over nearly four decades, Contrel elettronica has been designing and manufacturing low voltage electrical devices for industrial applications. Founded in 1985 in Lodi, Italy, Contrel elettronica is a privately owned company and has been managed by the same family.
