In medical environments, particularly in Group 2 medical locations, continuity of power supply and continuous monitoring of the electrical installation are essential requirements.
HRI-R40N is Contrel's new insulation monitoring device designed for low-voltage Medical IT Systems with an isolated neutral. The device continuously monitors the insulation resistance of the installation and promptly signals any insulation fault, allowing operators to take action before a second fault can compromise service continuity.
In addition to insulation resistance monitoring, HRI-R40N integrates a wide range of advanced functions:
- insulation resistance display;
- configurable alarm threshold;
- connection loss detection;
- Modbus RS-485 communication;
- trend graph history logging;
- transformer load current monitoring;
- configurable transformer overload threshold;
- temperature monitoring via PT100 probe.
HRI-R40N can also integrate an insulation fault location function for up to 6 circuits, making it possible to quickly identify the affected circuit and display its local insulation resistance value.
Fault location scans can be performed automatically or manually, with configurable alarm and warning thresholds.
Thanks to its graphical interface and the main system information available directly on the display, HRI-R40N provides an immediate overview of the installation status and supports preventive maintenance activities.
The device can also be combined with the HPR1 remote panel, specifically designed for operating rooms, allowing medical personnel to quickly check the status of the electrical installation and receive indications of insulation faults, transformer overload or overtemperature conditions.
With HRI-R40N, Contrel introduces an advanced solution for Medical IT System monitoring, combining safety, service continuity, diagnostics and connectivity in a single device.
